2026, <취향의 지도 - 나의 탐험일지, 첫페이지>, m.Art center, Seoul
Thanks to KASC (Korea Artist Sponsor Club), I was grateful to have the opportunity to exhibit alongside wonderful artists.
Following the theme of the exhibition, I prepared works with a bright atmosphere, including some pieces I made earlier this year rather than my most recent works. Since there was also an art appreciation writing contest for children, I followed KASC’s suggestion that lovely, colorful works would be a good fit. When I saw children pointing at the elephant with their little hands and smiling, I felt that happiness with them.
At M Art Center, there were many families and parents visiting with their children. I realized that creating artwork, sharing it with others, and having people think about the process and meaning behind it is more joyful than I had imagined. It was also a rare and valuable opportunity for me to hear other artists talk about how they work, and I truly enjoyed learning from them.
I’ll carry this happiness with me as I continue on to my next work.
KASC (한국작가후원연대)에서 감사히도 자리를 마련해주셔서, 멋진 작가님들과 전시를 진행하였습니다. 기획 의도에 맞추어 최근 작업보다는 올해 초 작품이더라도 밝은 분위기가 있는 그림들로 준비했습니다. 어린이들도 참여하는 그림 감상문 대회가 있기 때문에, 사랑스럽고 밝은 컬러의 그림들이 적합할 것 같다는 KASC 분들의 의견을 따랐는데요. 아이들이 손으로 코끼리를 가리키며 웃을 때, 저도 그 행복을 함께 느꼈습니다.
엠아트센터는 가족 단위 관람객들과 아이들과 함께 둘러보시는 부모님들이 많으셨습니다. 작품을 만들고 또 보여드리고, 작업한 과정과 의미를 생각해 드리는 일은 생각보다 더 기쁜 일이라는 걸 느낍니다. 또 다른 작가님들께 어떻게 작업을 하시는지 듣는 시간도 제게는 드문 귀한 배움의 시간이라 즐거웠습니다. 이 기쁨을 가득 안고 다음 작업을 이어가겠습니다.
